Governor Greitens Appoints Board of Inquiry in Murder Case

Governor Eric Greitens is announcing that five retired judges will serve as members on a board of inquiry into the case of Marcellus Williams, the man convicted of first degree murder in 2001.

The governor appointed Judge Booker Shaw as the chair of the committee, also serving Judge Michael David, Judge Peggy McGraw Fenner, Judge Carol Jackson, and Judge Paul Spinden.


Governor Greitens appointed a stay of execution to Marcellus Williams on August 22nd.

Williams was convicted of killing Felicia Gayle in 2001 however DNA testing of the murder weapon conducted last year was inconclusive.
