The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services is reporting an above average number of cases of the flu in the state.
According to the most recent flu report, a total of 531 cases of laboratory positive flu cases have been reported.
To date this season, 2447 cases have been reported.
Influenza like illness was the chief hospital emergency room visit complaint for the week.
One influenza associated death was reported, bringing the total to 31.
