Warrant Requested in False Bomb Threat

A warrant has been requested for a man accused of making a false bomb threat near the Hearnes Center in Columbia on December 13.

Donte Hopkins, a student at Mizzou, had been sitting next to a woman at a bus stop, and dared her to tell the bus driver the bus would explode if it stopped. She did not make the comment to the bus driver, and reported the incident to the police.

The area around the Hearnes Center was evacuated, but there was no threat.
