The Mexico Bulldogs Boys and Girls had a double dip against the Moberly Spartans on the road last (Tuesday) night. The Mexico Girls were defeated by the Moberly Spartans 63-37. Raigan Playter and Adria Costley led the team in points with 12 a piece. Mexico Girls are now 8-8 and 4-2 in the NCMC. The Moberly Girls improved to 11=6 overall and are 3-1 in the conference.
The Mexico Boys beat the Moberly Spartans for a second straight time in four days 71-64. An exciting contest to the very end, with Mexico’s Vern Williams icing the game at the free throw line, ending the game with 14. Jai Lawson was the leading scorer for the Dogs pouring in 20, then it was Tyler Spargo with 16, and Jonathan Grubb in double digits with 10. The Bulldogs are now 11-7 over all.
The North Callaway Boys defeated Clopton 52-38 in the Bowling Green Tournament.
Mexico Wrestling in a meet with Brookfield, Boonville, and Kirksville last (Tuesday) night.
Mexico defeated Brookfield 60-21.
Mexico defeated Kirksville 52-25.
And completing the sweep the Bulldogs took out Boonville 54-15.
