The Air Force announced today [Monday] the 509th Bomb Wing at Whiteman Air Force Base will be the home for the new B-21 Raider, the replacement for the B-2 bomber.
The B-21 will begin rolling out in the mid 2020’s, and they should have a life span of around 30 years.
U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill called the assignment of the bomber to Whiteman “A vote of confidence” in the base.
