Jury Selection In Comerzan Trial Friday

Jury selection for the re-trial of a man accused of causing the death of a Missouri State Trooper in Audrain County is set to begin tomorrow in St. Charles. [Friday]

Serghei Comerzan’s first trial ended in a hung jury in May of last year. The jury deliberated for 14 hours before reaching an impasse, when those holding the minority opinion wouldn’t budge.

Comerzan is charged with second degree murder and felony resisting arrest. Trooper James Bava lost control of his patrol car when trying to pull Comerzan over for traveling speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour on Highway FF in 2015.
