KXEO Sports Report for 2/24/18

The Mexico Bulldogs Boys ended their regular in closely contested loss to the Fulton Hornets 79-70 last (Friday) night.  Tyler Spargo led the dogs in points with 21. Mexico Boys will go on to face St. Dominic on Monday, February 26th. The Mexico Girls go on to face Fulton for a second straight time on Monday.  Both games played at the Hannibal High School. KXEO will be broadcasting both games.

 

The Class 2 State Wrestling Champions Mexico Bulldogs will be celebrating their history making accomplishment in downtown Mexico.

The celebration takes place on the square in Mexico tomorrow (Sunday) at 4 with KXEO hosting the event.

The Missouri Tigers Baseball Team defeated Northeastern 5-2 in the series opener last (Friday) night.

Mizzou moved to 4-1 on the season.

The baseball Tigers have a double header with Northeastern today (Saturday) at noon.

 

The St. Louis Cardinals lost their exhibition opener to the Miami Marlins 6-4 yesterday (Friday).

Cardinals pitcher Jack Flaherty set down the Marlins in order for his two innings needing only 21 pitchers for six outs.

The Redbirds face the New York Mets today (Saturday) with the first pitch at 12:10.

 

The Missouri Tigers Men’s Basketball team is on the road going for the season sweep of the Kentucky Wildcats.

Michael Porter Jr. who was cleared to play by doctors on Thursday is not projected to be in the starting lineup.

Tip off is at 7:15.

The St. Louis Blues were shut out home last 4-0 against the Winnipeg Jets.
