A Mexico man is dead following a motorcycle accident on Saturday night.
According to Mexico Public Safety it happened around 7:53pm in the 900 block of Curtis.
Responding personnel found that 25 year old Richard C. Dollens of Mexico was operating a 2007 Yamaha westbound when he lost control and left the roadway.
The motorcycle hit a guy-wire of a utility pole and a hand rail running along a sidewalk before coming to rest in a small creek.
Dollens came to rest on the sidewalk.
He was taken by the Audrain Ambulance District to the Audrian Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The incident is still under investigation.
Dollens was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
