Serrano-Vitorino Seeks To Preclude Death Penalty

A man who led authorities on a manhunt that lasted more than 14 hours after allegedly shooting a Montgomery County man has asked the court to removed the death penalty as a sentence.

Pablo Serrano-Vitorino is charged with first degree murder in the death of Randy Nordman. His murder occurred less than 24 hours after Serrano-vitorino allegedly shot and killed 4 other men in Kansas City, Kansas.


Included in the public defender’s motion, is a request for funds to acquire a mitigation specialist to go to Mexico, where Serrano-Vitorino lived until he was 17. The cost is approximately 59 thousand dollars.

Serrano-Vitorino’s trial is scheduled for October.
