Bayer Issues Alka-Seltzer Recall

Bayer is issuing a recall on some Alka-Seltzer Plus packages.

The recall includes boxes sold at Wal-Mart, CVS, Walgreens and Kroger after February 9.

The recalled items can identified by checking the Bayer logo located on the lower left corner on the front of the carton. If the logo has an orange or green background the product is included in the recall.

The reason for the voluntary recall is concern that the ingredients on hte front sticker may not match the actual product in the carton.

This may lead consumers to ingest a product to which they may have an allergy or anaphylactic reaction, an ingredient which may be contraindicated for a medical condition or they intend to otherwise avoid.

There have been no complaints that have resulted in an adverse health consequence to date.

Consumers with effected boxes should contact Bayer at 1800-986-0369.
