Human remains that were found on March 30 on Callaway County Road 486 will be examined by a forensic anthropologist.
The initial forensic examination of the remains took place yesterday [Monday] at the Boone-Callaway Medical Examiners Office in Columbia.
According to the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office, the medical examiner has not made any final conclusions based on the exam, and the identity of the remains is still unknown.
The medical examiner will not issue a final ruling as to the cause or amnner of death until all examinations have been completed.
