Auditor Finds Inconsistencies In Department of Labor

Missouri State Auditor Nicole Galloway has issued a report citing potential inaccuracies by the Department of Labor in relation to the unemployment insurance program.

The report outlines inconsistencies resulting in approximately 2 million dollars, including at least 134 thousand dollars in overpayments to claimants who exceeded their maximum unemployment benefit.

The issue reportedly stems from a new 40 million dollar system that was not fully developed or tested before implementation.
