Three Hannibal Residents Arrested In Kidnapping

Three Hannibal residents have been arrested after a kidnapping and sexual assault.

The Hannibal Police Department says they were dispatched to check on a woman at the Days Inn on Market Street. When officers arrived, the woman indicated she needed help, and reported she had been kidnapped and sexually assaulted.

Police arrested 38 year old Demetrice Moffett without incident at the scene. Investigation led detectives to a residence in the 2100 block of Patchen where they discovered a marijuana grow operation, a handgun used in the kidnapping and assault, and recovered a stolen rifle. 25 year old Travis Gerard was arrested at that location.

It was later discovered 21 year old Kenny Lumpford had allegedly assisted in the kidnapping.

All 3 are in the Marion County Jail.
