School Board Says Goodbye To 2 Longtime Members

The Mexico Board of Education said goodbye to two members at their meeting.

Dr. Peter Perll left the board after serving as president since 2011.

Beverly Borgeson had served since 2002 as the board treasurer and Missouri School Board Association delegate.

Nate Birt and Scott Nichols took their oath of office.

Dustin Pascoe has been chosen to serve as president and Heather DeMint is the Vice President of the school board.

Scott Hobbs will serve as treasurer.

Several elementary school student from around the community gave a presentation on Project Lead The Way, a student led science curriculum for Kindergarten through 5th grade.

Support staff in the district will receive a 2.5% pay raise for the 2018-19 school year.
