Celebrating The Legacy Of Kathy Craghead

A former teacher at Mexico High School died on Wednesday, but her legacy continues in her former students, co-workers and the national yearbook community.

Kathy Craghead was the teacher and adviser for the award winning high school yearbook and newspaper from 1983 until her retirement in 2007. She was honored as Adviser of the year in 2003.

Kevin Freeman says her gift was to push her students to always work harder.

Deb Haag was both a student and co-worker of Craghead, and says the most valuable lesson she learned from her was assertiveness.

She was active in the Miss Missouri Organization, where Chuck Rentschler says her attention to detail was unmatched.

Kathy Craghead was cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
