Smoke Causes Issues on Missouri River Bridge Near Rocheport

All lanes on the Missouri River Bridge in Boone County are back open after a report of smoke caused a shutdown last (Wednesday) night.

According to reports from KMIZ News an alert was sent out by Boone County Joint Communications around 10:27 urging drivers to avoid the area due to smoke causing visibility issues.


The eastbound lane on I-70 was shutdown for a while due to the issue, and fire officials investigated near mile marker 115.

The cause of the smoke has not been released.
