Hallsville Crossing Guard Fired After Shocking Incident Over the Weekend

A Hallsville city employee is fired after an incident reportedly put the safety of citizens, visitors, and children at risk.

Hallsville Mayor Logan Carter released a statement on Saturday stating he was informed of a situation involving a city employee that was shocking.

Videos on Facebook show the woman who was a crossing guard with the city of Hallsville, running a riding mower repeatedly over a patch of dirt multiple times, kicking up dirt and rocks at shoppers during the city-wide garage sale on Saturday.

Mayor Carter said the employee in question has been relieved of her duties, effective immediately.
