The first hearing in the Carl DeBrodie civil case was heard in a federal courtroom today. [Tuesday]
District Judge M. Douglas Harpool met nearly a dozen attorneys representing the plaintiffs and defendants in the wrongful death lawsuit.
The lawsuit was filed after DeBrodie’s body was found encased in concrete in a storage unit while he was a resident at Second Chance Homes, a facility for the developmentally disabled.
Included in the lawsuit are Rachel Rowden the owner of Second Chance Homes, the Callaway County Public Administrator and the Callaway County Special Services Office.
