Moniteau County Prosecutor Shayne Healea is pleading guilty this (Tuesday) morning to four misdemeanor charges to a 2014 incident that left four people hurt.
According to court records Haylea entered the guilty plea in a Shelby County courtroom that involved a crash into a Columbia restaurant.
Authorities say at the time Healea’s blood alcohol content was above the legal driving limit.
Per the plea deal this morning, Healea will be placed on probation for two years, and will not serve as prosecutor during the probation.
He will sign a letter of resignation tonight (Tuesday) at 5 taking his name off the ballot to run for prosecutor.
