Flash Flood Watch

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch through Sunday morning.

The watch includes Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Lincoln, Marion, Monroe, Montogmery, Pike, Ralls and Shelby Counties.

The remnants of Tropical Cyclone Gordon will interact with a cold front stalled across Missouri and Illinois. Rich tropical moisture from Gordon will produce very heavy rainfall across the watch area starting tonight [Thursday] and continuing through the weekend.

A flash flood watch is advanced notice that conditions are favorable that may lead to flooding.
