Duck Boat Operators Push Back On Attorney General’s Lawsuit

The operators of a Duck Boat that sank on July 19, killing 17 people issued a rebuttal to a court filing from The Missouri Attorney General’s Office saying the accusations are “irresponsible” and “littered with factual inaccuracies and innuendo.”

The lawsuit alleges Branson Duck Vehicles and Ripley Entertainment violated the Missouri Consumer Protection law by putting profits above safety. The suit asks for financial penalties and a ban on the operation of the amphibious vehicle tours.

Attorney’s for the companies are seeking a dismissal of the attorney general’s lawsuit.
