The Mexico City Council met Monday night and approved funding to help offset the costs of the Mexico Senior Nutrition Center and agreed on an employee insurance company for the upcoming year.
The council had previously budgeted $14 thousand dollars to help offset operational, nutritional and services cost for the Mexico Senior Center. Director of the senior center, Ione Bickell thanked the city for their ongoing support of their work.
The 2018/2019 budget had already included increased cost for employee health insurance. The council decided to continue with United Healthcare, with the city paying $6249. Gallaher Insurance Group is the agency of record for the policy.
Lastly, the council rescheduled their meeting that was slated for November 12 in honor of Veteran’s Day. The meeting will take place November 13 at 5:00.
