Five Common Scams to Avoid During Holiday Shopping Season

Consumers are being reminded to stay alert during the holiday season and avoid falling prey to scams that to try to take advantage of careless or overburdened shoppers.

The Better Business Bureau reports five common scams include online shopping, online ads for hot toys and gadgets, identity theft at the mall, bogus charitable pleas, and emails that try to get at your personal information or break into your computer.
