Palmyra Spectator To Print Their Last Edition

After 179 years in Marion County, the Palmyra Spectator newspaper will be printing their last issue on October 31.

In a post made today, [Tuesday] Mark and Patty Cheffey, the publishers of the paper since 1994, say they are saddened to have to close down the paper, but that changing times and attitudes toward the value of community journalism have given them no choice.

The owners are still holding out hope for an interested buyer.
