Another successful year is being reported with over five hundred free Christmas meals served to the Mexico community by the St. Brendan Catholic Church yesterday (Tuesday).
Parish member Tom Mullen says 205 meals were delivered and over 310 meals were served at the church for a total of 515.
It is way up over last year when 444 meals were served.
The free meal consisted of turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, and candied sweet potatoes, and the children were served a dessert.
It was the 23rd year the church provided the free meals to the community.
