The Missouri State Highway Patrol says they have been working to find out who killed Melissa Peskey, of South Dakota, on Interstate 70 near Booneville on December 13.
Sgt. Scott White with the highway patrol says that as of this morning [Monday] investigators have received and are working to follow up on 116 leads.
White says the leads are coming in from across the country, and are continuing to ask the public to come forward with information.
Peskey was traveling with her 2 children, when troopers responded to a traffic crash. It was found that she had been shot from outside the vehicle.
Neither child was injured in the incident.
