Snow Causes Significant Damage To Mexico Business

Heavy snow on the roof of the warehouse at M&M Golf Cars on Highway 22 in Mexico caused it to collapse Monday afternoon.

Owner Chris Miller says that around 9:00 an employee heard the rafters cracking, and the the building was immediately evacuated.

Miller said the roof fell into the building at 11:14.

While there is no exact estimate on the losses sustained, Miller estimates the merchandise loss was approximately $100 thousand, while the damage to the 60 by 120 foot building is likely around $200 thousand.
