KXEO Sports Report for 1/22/19

The Mexico Bulldogs boys and girls basketball teams  back at home tonight (Tuesday) when they face the Moberly Spartans.

The Mexico girls tip off first at 6:15 pm.


They are followed by the Mexico boys.

Mexico boys are 5-10 on the season while Moberly is 8-4.

Tune into AM 1340 KXEO for the live broadcast of both games with a pregame starting at 6.


The Van-Far girls avenged an early season loss to the North Callaway Girls 53-43 in the first round of the Bowling Green Tournament last (Monday) night.

The leading scorere for Van Far was Jay Lee Jennings who had a game total of 22 points, with 13 coming in the third quarter.

Kinsey Ashfall led North Callaway with 18 points.

In a battle of two ranked opponents in women’s college basketball the 25th ranked Missouri Tigers fell to the 19th ranked South Carolina Gamecocks 79-65 last (Monday) night.

Mizzou fell behind by as many as 14 points in the first quarter, and was unable to close the gap that the Gamecocks created.

Senior guard Sophie Cunningham led the Tigers in scoring for the 13th time this season as she recorded 24 points, four rebounds and three assists.
