Mexico is being listed as the 21st safest city to live in Missouri for 2019 in a new report released today (Tuesday).
The National Council for Home Safety and Security released its report and showed that Missouri ranked as the 36th safest state for property crime.
Missouri ranked above the national average for a violent crime rate with 3.9 crimes per 1,000 against the national average of 3.47.
Mexico ranked 21st, Jefferson City came in at 26th on the list, Moberly at 31, Fulton at 35.
Ballwin ranked as the safest city to live in Missouri.
The report reviewed the most recent FBI Uniform Crime Report statistics that were based on two broad classifications, of violent crimes, and non-violent crimes.
