Mexico Public Schools will be addressing the Mexico City Council on Monday during their meeting.
According to Marci Minor with Mexico Schools, she and School Superintendent Dr. Zach Templeton will be giving background information on how they arrived at the decision to reconfigure the schools, and the reason for doing so.
The schools are also asking the city council to adjust the times school zone speeds are in effect.
Minor says the reason for requesting the change is that more students are arriving at school early to eat breakfast.
Marcy LeCount with the city says the times would become 7 AM to 4 PM.
The City Council will meet in the Council Chambers of the third floor of Mexico City Hall at 7PM.
