More Details About Fatal Shooting of Tajuan Williams In Mexico

Details surrounding the death of 27 year old Tajuan Williams in Mexico on Friday are becoming available through a probable cause statement today (Monday).

According to the probable cause statement Williams was found with a gunshot wound and was still conscious when police arrived around 5:30 on Muldrow Street and told police that Dorsey shot him.


Williams died later at the SSM-Audrain emergency room.

17 year old Dekhise E. Dorsey and two juveniles turned themselves in on Saturday.

According to court records Dorsey, told police he saw Williams at a birthday party and he along with 2 juveniles, confronted Williams about previous issues.

A fight broke out and Dorsey told police Williams ran away.

Dorsey says he heard a single gunshot and told police that the person who shot Williams did not mean to.

Dorsey is now charged with 2nd Degree Murder, First Degree Assault, Armed Criminal Action and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

The two fifteen year old juveniles were taken to the detention centers by the 12th Circuit Court Juvenile Division.
