Hallsville R-IV School District Reach Settlement In Girl’s Suicide Case

The Hallsville R-IV School District and the family of a Hallsville girl who committed suicide in April of 2017 have reached a settlement according to court records.

A wrongful death suit was filed against the Hallsville R-IV School District in July of 2018 by Elizabeth Overstreet, the mother of Rylie Wagner who died in April of 2017, after her mother says she experienced bullying at school.

Details of the settlement will be known after a hearing in Jefferson City where the judge will either confirm or deny the settlement.
