Olson Chosen To Lead Highway Patrol

The acting superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol has been chosen to take the job permanently.

Governor Mike Parson announced during a press conference today [Tuesday] Eric Olson will keep the position he has filled since September.

Olson, a Chillicothe native, has been with the patrol since 1990 and is now the 24th superintendent of the agency.

Olson stepped into the interim position when the former patrol leader, Sandra Karsten, retired to lead the Missouri Department of Public Safety.
