KXEO has received confirmation that continued testing on the pipeline has failed for the fourth time today. [Thursday]
Crews from Eastern Panhandle Pipeline tested the gas line just north of Mexico beginning at around 6:00 this morning. The hydro-test breached the pipeline at around 8:45, approximately 200 feet from where a break on March 3rd caused a massive blaze just outside of Mexico along Highway 15.
Federal inspectors were on site for the testing.
The damage from today’s test will take approximately 4 days to repair.
State Representative Kent Haden has confirmed he is pushing for Energy Transfer to hold a public information meeting regarding the pipeline.
KXEO has reached out to Eastern Panhandle for comment and have not received a response.
The next testing is scheduled for Tuesday, April 9th.
