Pepper Arrested In Columbia

A man accused of dragging a Mexico Public Safety officer for two blocks during a traffic stop early Monday morning was arrested last night [Tuesday] in Columbia.

Twenty one year old Trevor Pepper was scheduled to be arraigned in Boone County this afternoon [Wednesday] for one count of resisting or interfering with an arrest.

Pepper had a failure to appear warrant out of Audrain County on multiple drug related charges.

Pepper was stopped by officers in the 400 block of Promenade, and drove the vehicle away with an officer partially inside the car. Events surrounding the incident are still under investigation.
