Bird Nest Catches Fire At King’s Daughters Residential Care Facility

A bird nest is to blame for a fire at the King’s Daughters residential care facility in Mexico this (Friday) morning.

It happened just before 6, at the home located in the 600 block of West Boulevard.


All of the staff and responding emergency personnel were able to evacuate the residents safely.

According to Mexico Public Safety a bird nest in a roof top air-handling unit had caught fire.

There was no structural damage to the building.
