Southeast Missouri pitcher and Mexico, Mo native Paytience Holman was voted Pitcher of the Week on Monday, April 29, 2024.

Holman went 2-0 with a staggering 0.57 ERA in two starts.

She allowed only one earned run and struck out six in 12.1 innings of work.

The Southeast Missouri Redhawks are on a nine-game conference winning streak as the hottest Ohio Valley Conference team entering the final week of the regular season.

The Mexico High School baseball team lost 3-0 to Hannibal on Monday, April 29,  2024.

Sam Ryan started for Mexico and recorded 16 outs.

Brady Fox went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Mexico in hits.

The Kansas City Chiefs signed Travis Kelce to a new two-year, $34.25 million contract on Monday, April 29, 2024.

According to the Associated Press Kelce’s deal includes $17 million guaranteed for 2024 and $11.25 million guaranteed by the third day of the 2025 league year.
