Three people were recently indicted by a Callaway County Grand Jury for sex crimes.
According to the Callaway County Sheriff’s Department, on May 2nd 34 year old Tommy Smith Jr. of Jefferson City was arrested for three counts of statutory rape and 3 counts of statutory sodomy.
Forty eight year old Marvin Ridgel of New Bloomfield was also indicted for 2 felony counts of statutory rape.
On May 9th, the grand jury charged 37 year old Jarrad Vandergrift of New Bloomfield with three counts of child molestation, three counts of statutory sodomy and statutory rape.
Smith and Vandergrift are being held in the Callaway County jail without bond.
Ridgel was ordered a court set bond of $50 thousand.
