A very special helicopter will be making stops in Jefferson City, Mexico and Centralia for Memorial Day.
The Huey UH1B saw duty in Vietnam from 1962 to 1971, it was decommissioned in 1971 and was used as a search and rescue unit in California.
It also saw duty in several movies.
It was purchased by Mike Holbrook who is the owner of MARPAT Aviation in Logan, West Virginia.
The helicopter will be in Jefferson City for the Salute to Veterans Air Show.
Also at 9 am on Memorial Day the helicopter will be Mexico, at the Missouri Veterans Home.
And at 6:30 pm on Monday, May 27th it will appear at the Centralia City Cemetery.
