Former St. Louis Cardinal’s closer Lee Smith is now a member of baseball’s hall of fame.

Smith was inducted into the elite club yesterday (Sunday) in Cooperstown.

The 61 year old Smith retired in 1997 as baseball’s all time saves leader, and still ranks third on the current list with 478 saves.

Smith gave an inspiring speech yesterday (Sunday) in front of 55 thousand fans where he highlighted the importance of family, community, being a good teammate and an even better person.
