The Federal Emergency Management Agency, in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System tomorrow [Wednesday] at 1:20 in the afternoon.
The test will assess the operational readiness of the infrastructure for distribution of national messages and determine whether improvements are needed.
The intent of this year’s test is to evaluate the national alerting system capability in the absence of internet connectivity.
