Man Sentenced For Threatening Deputy With Knife

An Armstrong man was sentenced to four years in prison after he admitted to threatening a Callaway County deputy in February.

Forty year old William Cash admitted he threatened the deputy who had responded to a domestic disturbance with a knife.

Cash told the judge he had consumed a fifth of whiskey and was very intoxicated at the time of the incident.

The judge recommended Cash complete a long term substance abuse treatment program before being considered for release.
