The Mexico Bulldogs softball team picked up their 32nd straight NCMC win tonight (Tuesday) with a 5-2 victory over the Kirksville Tigers.
The Bulldogs got down early 1-0 in the first inning.
Then the offense came roaring back with 3 runs including an RBI double by Hayley Mills and 2 RBI’s by Logan Blevins.
Shelbi Shaw pitched in with an RBI double.
Starting pitcher Hayley Mills pitched 5 scoreless innings from the 2nd inning on into the 6th inning.
Reghan Smith then came into close out the game in the 7th inning to pick up the save.
Mexico improved their record to 5-2 overall and 2-0 in the North Central Missouri Conference.
Mexico has the day off tomorrow (Wednesday) and play another conference game at home on Thursday vs. the Hannibal Pirates.
