The Mexico Bulldogs with a 34-20 win over the Kirksville Tigers on the road tonight (Friday).
The night started off good for the Bulldogs when they scored on their second position of the game in the first quarter.
It was a 65 yard drive that took two minutes and 4 seconds that was capped off by a touchdown run by Dante Billups at the two minute and 7 second mark of the first quarter.
Kirksville would then tie the game on a 24 yard pass from Paxton Dempsey to Noah Coapland at the 9 minute twenty second mark of the 2nd quarter.
The Tigers would score 2 more times to go on top 20-7.
Then Mexico would score on a Ty Prince 5 yard pass to Jake Haines to close the gap to 20 to 13 at halftime.
The Mexico offense would come out hot in the second half scoring three touchdowns, including a 5 yard score by Micheal White.
Isiah Reams punched in a score.
And Dante Billups would score his second touchdown of the game.
With the win the Mexico Bulldogs improved their record to 3-4 overall and 1-1 in the North Central Missouri Conference.
Mexico is back at home next week for the Highway 54 Bowl against the Fulton Hornets.
