One of the biggest rivalries in high school football takes place between the Mexico Bulldogs and the Fulton Hornets tonight (Friday).
The 99th annual 54 Bowl takes place between the 2 teams in Mexico tonight (Friday).
It’s a rivalry that is rich with tradition, Mexico and Fulton started playing against each other in 1920.
Fulton leads the all time series with 63 wins to Mexico’s 58 and there have been 6 ties.
However Mexico has dominated the series as of late winning the last 6 six 54 Bowls.
Kickoff tonight (Friday) is at 7.
Mexico comes in with a record of 3-4 and 1-2 in the North Central Missouri Conference.
The Hornets are 2-5 and 1-3 in conference.
It is also Sr. night at Hawthorne Heights.
Mexico will honor 11 seniors.
They include Zach Watkins, Keyon Mahaney, Lane Cook, Jakob Bradley, Matthew Harrison, Maverick Sadler, Tristan Dunlap, David Koons, Tate Dawson, Richard Williams, and Gage Gilmore.
