The Mexico Bulldogs with a 35-23 road loss to the Moberly Spartans in the final game of the regular season of the high school football season tonight (Friday).
The Bulldogs would score first at the 5:52 mark of the first quarter on a 27 yard field goal from Gage Gilmore.
Moberly would then answer back with a 12 yard touchdown pass from Dominic Stoneking to his wide receiver Aidan Hamman with a 1:47 left in the first quarter.
Mexico would reclaim the lead off a 7 yard quarterback keep touchdown by Ty Prince at the 9:27 mark of the second quarter.
The Spartans would then take a 14-10 with 4:52 left in the 2nd quarter.
Moberly would never trail again scoring again off a blocked punt with 1 minute and 20 seconds until halftime.
The Spartans finishes the regular season at 6-2 and 3-2 in the North Central Missouri Conference.
Mexico Bulldogs finish 4-5 and 2-3 in the NCMC.
Mexico will start Class 3 District 4 play next Friday night against Wright City on the road.
