Mexico Bulldogs Basketball Splits Non-Conference Double Header Vs. Bowling Green

The Mexico Bulldogs Basketball split a double header with the Bowling Green Bobcats at the Mexico High School tonight.

The Mexico Girls defeated Bowling Green 47 to 34.

It was all tied up at half time then the Lady Bulldogs took control down the stretch led by Mya Miller with 14 points, followed by Shelbi Shaw with 9 and Reghan Smith with 8.

Mexico improved to 5-2 on the year. Head Coach Ed Costley picked win number 398 in his career.

The Mexico Bulldogs boys fell 61-56 to Bowling Green.

Drew Blevins led Mexico with 16 points, followed by Zach Watkins with 13, and Isiah Reams with 10.

Mexico boys and girls will be back at again tomorrow night against Eugene.

Varsity girls tip off at 6 with the boys to follow.
