Dr. Larry Nelson will be recommended to the Columbia Board of Education to become the Cedar Ridge Elementary School principal for the 2020-2021 school year.
Nelson has been the assistant superintendent for Mexico Public Schools since 2017.
He will take over the role from Angie Bedsworth, who is retiring at the end of the school year.
