Ameren Missouri is joining the list of area utility companies suspending disconnection of services.
In a Facebook post yesterday (Saturday), the company announced that effective immediately it was suspending disconnections for non-payment forgiving any late payment fees for residential and business customers.
Other utilities stopping disconnects include Missouri American Water and the City of Columbia Utilities.
