Mexico Public Safety says there were over 150 incidents of fireworks being discharged in the city of Mexico from June 29th through last night.
Mexico Public Safety says the majority of the incidents happened during the nighttime hours of July 1st through July 4th.
Officers warned residents discharging fireworks at their home.
There were also people who were driving or running through various parts of town discharging fireworks and a few summonses were issued, with additional summonses to be issued later in the week.
A building in the 800 block of East Breckenridge was damaged from fireworks during the overnight hours of July 2nd to July 3rd, and investigation is ongoing for the property damage.
There were no injuries during the holiday weekend.
